General definitions

Here you can make the basic definition of a tray.
Each tray has a unique number within the tray system.
Each tray has a UPOC. If you do not specify one, it will be assigned automatically when saving. When saving, it is checked whether this is valid and unique. (Unique for compartments and special functions).
The remark can be used to specify the subject dimensions. This helps to select a compartment when sending or depositing.
The LockID stands for the I/O address of the tray. (Details can be found here) When saving, it is checked whether the lockID has already been assigned.
For compartments without control, none must be assigned.

Mailbox systems without control can only have compartments without control.

Status

A tray can have four statuses: Active, Inactive, Maintenance and Cleaning

  • Active: A compartment can be used normally

  • Inactive: A tray is defective and cannot be used. The tray cannot be opened for pickup and delivery. Only via maintenance. The tray is no longer taken into account during shipment entry.

  • Maintenance: The compartment is temporarily out of operation, e.g. for cleaning. The tray can only be opened via Maintenance. However, the tray is still taken into account during shipment entry.

  • Cleaning: This status is only available for lockers. For more information on cleaning, see Cleaning lockers.

Type

There are four different fan types.

  • Letter

  • Package

  • Locker

  • Compartment without control (Can not be mixed with other types)

ATTENTION: If you change the type from Letter to Package, a check is made whether current or future tray assignments exist. Only if you agree to delete these assignments, the type change will be applied.

Depending on the type, the acquisition of the shipment and filling of the equipment is different.

If a shipment is entered whose service is approved for letter delivery to P.O. boxes, a compartment is assigned when the shipment is entered.
If a shipment is entered whose service is only permitted for parcel delivery to P.O. boxes, no box is assigned when the shipment is entered, only the logistics unit. The tray is only assigned when the P.O. box is filled. One parcel is assigned per tray.

When filling the P.O. box system, the explitzit tray must be read for items whose service is only permitted for parcel delivery to P.O. boxes.
When filling the P.O. box system, the tray is always assigned by the system for items whose service is permitted for letter delivery to P.O. boxes.
When filling the P.O. box without control, the box is always assigned by the system, regardless of the service.

Trays without control are assigned only statically. In such trays can also be placed items, the performance of which is approved only for package delivery to P.O. boxes. And that more than one shipment.

Specialty Classes

Each subject can be assigned more than one subject fund. However, this is not mandatory. Subject classes are taken into account in the subject determination for persons, provided that a dynamic subject assignment is defined for the person.

Additional definitions can be maintained here. (Custfields)

Determine the currently valid tray / mailbox system

It is possible to assign several mailboxes to one person / customer.
If the recipient has defined mailboxes in different mailbox facilities for the current day, the user must make a selection when entering a shipment.

However, if the user cannot make a selection (e.g. IHS web interface), the following criteria apply to determine the current subject:

Right

Here the rights for this tray can be assigned. This means which person has access or no access to this locker.
An additional license for locker systems is required for this.
