Printer layout details

This dialog is used to edit a printer layout.

Name, comment as well as referenced files (fonts and images) can be maintained.

A printer layout defines which data is printed in which format on an item. It elements such as static text, variables, barcodes and images are supported. All files (fonst/images) referenced in a printer layout must be included in the list!

Operation

  • Name
    Enter the name of the print layout in this field. This name is used wherever a print layout is selected.

  • Comment

  • Import
    Imports a printer layout definition from an XML file. The file selection dialog appears in which the XML file can be selected. The XML attribute <PrintLayout>.Name from the file is used as the name of the of the print layout. If a printer layout with this name already exists, it will be updated (overwritten).

  • Export
    The printer layout currently selected in the list is exported to an XML file. For this purpose a file selection dialog appears, in which the directory and the file name can be selected. can be selected. Existing files can also be can be overwritten.

  • Validate
    The printer layout is validated. Syntax, elements and attributes are checked according to the PrintLayout syntax are checked and error messages are displayed if necessary. Also is checked whether all referenced files are available.

  • Edit

  • Add

  • Delete
    The file currently selected in the list is deleted. Before deleting, a confirmation confirmation is requested.

  • Save

    Closes the dialog WITHOUT saving!
