Specifications Acquisition

Restrictions can be defined at different levels for the various acquisition modules.


The global default values are in the settings: Production, tab [Workstations], button [Global Settings] button.

In addition, restrictions can be defined per workstation (sorting system, computer), service and customer/cost center or.

The defined settings are applied according to the following priority:

- Not unique: No check foruniqueness takes place.

The setting determines which buttons are displayed to select the cost unit and which keyboard shortcuts (hotkeys) are available.

Restrictions:
- The setting is only supported in the MS/OS-AZD modules.
- The setting is not available on the "Customer/cost center" level
- The setting is only effective if a valid IHS license is available.

0551: Direct digitization of incoming mail

Defines whether the recorded singeing is digitized directly (Active) or indirectly (Inactive).

Active = Direct digitization
If the transmission has to be digitized the scanner icon is visible (scan area red). When saving the shipment the the dialog for digit izing the item appears automatically. The item will be routed directly to the destination. If "Individual selection" is defined for the digitization of the shipment, the routing to the workstation/logistics unit for the digitization takes place.

Inactive = Indirect digitization
The exact behaviour depends on the option 500: Automatic follow up process on capture in the settings for digitization. If this option is deactivated and the shipment has to be digitized then the shipment is routed to the workstation/logistics unit for digitization.

0553: Acknowledgement of receipt Does a receipt have to be made?

This can be used to define whether a confirmation of receipt is required. If the receipt of the shipment is not confirmed although required, the recipient receives a reminder (you have mail). If no confirmation is received despite all this, the post office is informed (you have mail).

This setting can only be made at the Global and Power levels.

Defines which service provider is used for the district search of redirection addresses (Redress) when new items are entered.
