BV - Territory Management

By area we mean the address data that can be used as recipient addresses. The area can be defined as deep as you like on the following four levels:

  • Country

    • Postcode / City

      • Street

        • House

          • Logistics Unit

The postcode group level is a purely virtual level. This representation is used for clarity. If you click on the root element or on the button + in front of the root element, it will open and display all countries are displayed and it is positioned on the set default country positioned.

Alias management

The country, postal code/city, street and logistics unit levels logistics unit have an alias management, which can be used for all levels. The alias descriptions can be maintained manually. Explanation of the alias type

Generation of alias (only with version BV Pro)

In the detail view in the area, aliases can be generated and maintained for the alias can be generated and maintained for the country, city and street levels. On the location level there is also the possibility to generate aliases for this for this city and its streets.

For the administration of alias over a postal code range for places and/or streets, a menu item is available (Options / Manage Auto Alias). Attribute Master / Key

All detail dialogs of the possible levels (country, postal code/city, street, house, logistics unit) have the attribute Master and Key. In the area data (country, city, street, House & Logistics Unit) you can define who the master is. This applies per entity in each case. There are no inheritances (default is Undefined).
