Email

To configure an e-mail communication channel, you must have the access data for the corresponding e-mail account. Please make sure that you enter the data correctly.

The following settings must be configured for each e-mail communication channel.

Application information

  • Communication channel active
    With this checkbox you can set a configured communication channel to active or inactive.

  • E-mail account exclusively for LetterShop
    Specifies whether the email account being used is exclusive to the LetterShop application, or whether there are other communications taking place on the same email address. other communications take place. Processed emails are deleted on the server.

  • Keyword in subject for LetterShop email recognition
    If the address is not used exclusively, the e-mails are identified by the subject. Therefore you have to define a keyword in this field which will be in the subject of the LetterShop e-mails. Only e-mails with this keyword in the subject will be processed by LetterShop and deleted on the server!

Server settings

Enter the access data for the e-mail account in the corresponding fields:

  • POP3 username

  • Password of the POP3 user

  • E-mail sender address
    Address used for e-mails in which processed shipment data is returned to the sender.

  • Incoming mail server (POP3 server)

  • Outgoing mail server (SMTP server)

  • SMTP Port
    Default is 25

  • Prescript
    A script that is executed before the received file is processed.

  • Postscript
    A script that is executed after processing and before sending the export file.

  • Standard Script
    If this checkbox is set, a script will be executed (or edited), which is stored for all partners with activated checkboxes. is checked.
    If a partner-specific script is to be executed or edited, the checkbox must be removed.

  • Outgoing mail server requires authentication
    If the outgoing mail server has its own login or is hosted by another provider, the login data for the outgoing mail server can optionally be activated and entered here. logon data for the outgoing mail server can optionally be activated and entered here.

Buttons

Script Opens a detail dialog for defining the pre- or postscripts.

Allowed email addresses and domains

Here the e-mail addresses and/or domains are specified that are considered to be trustworthy and therefore valid senders of import files. All incoming e-mails that do not come from one of these senders will be ignored. You can enter as many e-mail addresses and/or domains.

The following options are available:

Add Adds a new email address or domain.
Delete Deletes an e-mail address or domain that has already been entered.
To do this, first select an entry in the list of allowed e-mail addresses and domains.
